I forged this album over the last couple of years as I moved through the various stages of developing my modular synth. It was almost all one-take recordings, flaws all left in place.

This process coincided with my belief in and admiration for the Japanese worldview and aesthetic of Wabi-Sabi. Nature is imperfect and impermanent, but there is so much beauty in that. There is beauty in the history and the tale of everything around us.

There is beauty in imperfection and beauty in the journey. Nothing lasts, nothing is perfect, nothing is finished. But we must focus on how wonderful each moment can be and the tiny details that symbolize so much more than the whole.

Thank you for reading, and thank you for listening. I hope you enjoy and connect with this album as much as I have while making it and still hang on to every sound.
